The news reaching me recently is that the Nigerian popular site for youth, Naijaloaded was hacked by supposedly group of unknown entity who later demanded for a ransom of #50,000 from Makinde Azeez, the owner of the form.
This is message some one got in an attempt to log in and pasted on Nairaland :

THISDOMAIN NAME IS CURRENTLY FOR SALE, #50,000 ONCE PAYMENT IS MADE, WE WILL TRANSFER THE DOMAIN TO YOU OR GIVE YOU ITS REGISTERED EMAIL AND PASSWORDNOTETHIS OFFER WILL EXPIRE @ EXACTLY 16 OCLOCK FRIDAY 2 AUGUST CALL OUR CUSTOMER CARE +447024022953 ADVICE DO NOT CALL TO ASK QUESTIONS U ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWERS™ @MANKIND, U CAN THREATEN THAT FOOL, BUT NOT US OK BCS WE ARE THE BEST HACKING TEAM SO FAR, BEWARE OF CYBER-GURU 2013 .....LOGGIN OUT™**
But the story has changed now because the site is now fully restored and is functioning well. Either he later pay the hackers or not we don't know. That's the news!
Actually, I'm going to be giving some tips to help you, at least some useful tips so you can be cautious as a site owner, admin, or webmaster. So watch out for the article.
