Recently there's been a dearth of freebies as per browsing concern, especially the former beneficiaries of MTN unlimited browsing, fondly called 'magic SIM'. You guys can have access to something, solely the PC users. For example, you may want to stream a football match or do something that requires large amount of Bytes. So this is for you.
Straight to point: this is what you need -- MTN Blackberry subscription plus pd-proxy.
- We all know the current price for BB---N100/daily (BBCDAY to 21600); N1000/monthly (BBC to 21600)....
- There are Demo users and premium users for pd-proxy. Demo have access to Demo servers and can only download 100MB data daily. While premium users have access to all the servers and without any data cap. And I believe MTN Blackberry has 1-3GB data limit for every plan, if I'm not mistaken. Be it daily, weekly, or monthly; they are all within the same data usage. That means as a premium user, you are only limited by what MTN gives. I could remember then, MTN BB has no data limit. Not any longer.
Steps
1. Go to pd-proxy site, www.pdproxy.com and register, to get user log in. You'll see "sign up for free" there, click it and register. It requires email to do this and I guess you do have an email.
2. After that you'll need to download the software itself. Click "Home" and you'll see the download button. Or just click HERE to download. Click it to download the software which is in zip format, meaning that you'll need to unzip it with either Winzip or Winrar software. Please, unzip everything into a single file. Don't do partial unzip of some files.
The folder should be "PD-Proxy_2.2.0". Open it and run the .exe file "PD-Proxy".
i. install it
ii. insert your username and password; and select "ICMP"
iii. (optional) go to "basic settings" that look like two crossed screwdrivers, and click "Click here to show Adcanved Settings". Select "proto option" and insert 500 in the "UDP server port". click "save & go back".
iv. go back to "server & protocol", i.e, the dashboard. Like you are seeing below as the screen shot.
v. for demo users, i.e. if you've not paid for server, select "Demo server 2". (Demo server 1 has never worked for me before that's why I said that).
vi. NOW connect your modem that you've loaded with BB subscription.

Yeah, you are good to go! Click connect and see the magic display and interaction of the server with your modem
vii. if you are a premium user, i.e, you've subscribed, then you entitled to select any of the servers once you've loaded the voucher.
viii. you can load vouchers in many ways. a) your re-seller can help you out, by just asking for your username, probably after you've paid for the voucher; b) simply go the pd-proxy site and insert the voucher -- home/my account/control panel/enter voucher; c) load it through the software itself. The forth segment of the dashboard as indicated in the picture below, then click "click here to apply voucher code".
After all those, you'll have something like this, see below:
I might not have covered everything about pd-proxy, so questions are allowed. And for the android users, your tutorial is coming soon.
